Reports indicate that in what critics describe as the latest display of the Iranian regime’s animosity toward America and the Trump family, a disturbing propaganda video has emerged from Tehran encouraging the assassination of First Lady Melania Trump and issuing a direct threat against the president’s youngest son, Barron.
Media reports note the clip, titled “How to Kill Melania Trump” and also circulated as “Where to Kill Melania?!,” was released by the Tasnim News Agency, a mouthpiece observers note is closely tied to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
It shows images of the first lady in her motorcade and at locations around New York City, specifically naming upscale designer stores she is known to visit, including Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Red target-like circles are overlaid on the store signs as a limousine carrying Melania drives past.
The video declares that these shopping excursions could be “suitable for operations by global freedom fighters.”
It goes further, suggesting the use of a nerve agent to poison any clothes the first lady might purchase, specifically recommending the deadly VX agent—an oily, odorless, and tasteless liquid—to contaminate garments.
Reports indicate the production also names three of Melania’s personal stylists and proposes bribing them with large sums to carry out the poisoning.
At the end of the roughly two-minute video, observers note the threat expands to Barron Trump, who is 20 years old.
The narrator intones: “This is just the beginning. Barron Trump, wait for us.”
The East Wing and the Secret Service did not immediately respond to requests for comment from reporters.
Both the first lady and Barron maintain full-time Secret Service protection.
All Trump family residences—the White House, Trump Tower in New York, the Bedminster golf club in New Jersey, and the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida—remain under heavy security.
A Secret Service spokesperson later confirmed the agency is aware of the video and investigates any perceived threat to its protectees, while declining further comment on operational details.
Security analysts point out this is not an isolated incident.
Media reports note the president’s family has faced repeated targeting since the war with Iran began following a joint U.S.-Israel operation that eliminated the regime’s supreme leader and key figures.
Last week, reports indicate billboards appeared around Tehran demanding the death of President Donald Trump and his relatives, including Melania and all his children: Don Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany, and Barron.
One display read “Blood for blood.”
Another billboard showed mocked-up images of Melania, Barron, and Ivanka with their eyes closed and the word “KILLED” stamped across them, accompanied by the message “Hey, terrorist! Get ready to die.”
Observers note Melania Trump has kept a lower public profile this month. She skipped Friday night’s White House Correspondents’ Association dinner; a source close to her cited a “scheduling conflict.”
Political analysts note President Trump himself remains Iran’s primary target and has addressed the threats head-on.
Earlier this month, reports indicate that due to Iranian threats, he switched from the new Air Force One to an older model while departing Turkey after a NATO meeting.
In comments to reporters, Trump made clear the consequences of any successful attack.
“I’ve been on their list for a long time. That’s what we’re dealing with,” he said. “The only thing is, I’ve left instructions—if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before.”
Observers point out the Iranian regime’s propaganda machine continues to push these grotesque threats even as it faces the consequences of its aggression.
Critics argue these videos and billboards are not mere rhetoric; they represent a calculated effort by a terrorist-sponsoring theocracy to intimidate the American first family and project strength amid battlefield setbacks.
The Secret Service’s vigilant protection of Melania and Barron, combined with the president’s unambiguous resolve, stands in stark contrast to what critics describe as the regime’s desperation.
GOP Considers Budget Reconciliation To Pass SAVE Act Without Dem Support
Senate Republican Leader John Thune signaled that Republicans are prepared to use aggressive legislative tactics to pass the SAVE America Act. He said budget reconciliation remains a viable option if it becomes necessary to overcome Democratic opposition.
“I think that budget reconciliation, as I’ve said before, you have to have a reason to do it. And if we have reasons to do it—and we may, very well may—I think there are a number of our colleagues in the Senate—we just came out of a luncheon where this was discussed—and I think there’s a lot of support for a budget reconciliation bill,” Thune said.
Thune noted that Republicans have multiple legislative pathways available to advance the measure. He said leadership is prepared to consider using those tools if it ensures the bill reaches the finish line.
“We have two legislative vehicles, as you know, available to us, so we could tee one of those up. And that’s an option. And we’ll see—if that’s what it takes to get some of these things across the finish line, and we can do it with simple majorities, we’ll take a hard look at it,” he said.
Under the reconciliation process, legislation can pass the Senate with a simple majority rather than the usual 60 votes required to overcome a filibuster. That would allow Republicans to pass the measure with 50 votes, with Vice President JD Vance casting a tie-breaking vote if needed.
However, the process is limited by the Byrd Rule, which restricts reconciliation bills to provisions that directly affect federal spending or revenue. Items considered “extraneous” can be removed if they do not meet those criteria.
Sen. John Kennedy also voiced support for pursuing the reconciliation strategy to advance the legislation. He said Republicans should explore all available legal avenues to ensure the bill meets procedural requirements.
“I think we are, Mr. President—I know you are—we need to try to pass this legislation through reconciliation,” Kennedy said. “Now, you know how reconciliation works, Mr. President. It means we can pass this bill with 50 Republican votes and the Vice President to break the tie,” he said.
Newly minted Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin indicated that discussions around this approach are already underway. He said Republican leadership, including Sen. Lindsey Graham, is actively working on a reconciliation framework.
“Lindsey Graham, the chairman where the reconciliation will funnel through, is committed to making sure we get reconciliation through,” Mullin said. “If that is in some form with funding ICE, possibly backfilling from the One Big Beautiful Bill, but also, more importantly, the SAVE America Act—there’s a framework that we can use through reconciliation, paying for it and putting in some of the policies that cost money,” he said.

Eighty percent of the population says they want only Americans voting—citizens who are registered to vote, citizens who have done it the right way,” Mullin said. “And I believe that everybody wants election integrity. So fortunately, Lindsey Graham has said that, through reconciliation, he’s willing to put the framework out for that,” he said.
