Chapter 1 - THE RUINED SILENCE AND THE HIDDEN PROPERTY

Her husband, still drunk, let out a mocking laugh. “Who are you going to call? Your father is dead, and the company you boasted about so much no longer exists. No one is coming to save you.” Her mother-in-law crossed her arms and spoke coldly. “All your properties now belong to our family. You are nothing more than a useless woman locked up at home taking care of a baby.”

The woman observed them for a few seconds before speaking in an icy voice into the phone. “Attorney Gabriel Reyes, that’s enough. Execute the last order my father left.”

From the other end of the line came the calm voice of attorney Gabriel Reyes, her late father’s former legal advisor and trusted administrator of his estate. “Are you sure? Once we set this in motion, you will regain full power, and everyone who has used or taken your properties will be investigated.”

The woman looked at the crying baby in her arms and replied, “I’m sure. I kept quiet because I wanted to protect my family. But if I keep putting up with it, they’ll destroy my son’s future too.” Attorney Gabriel Reyes remained silent for a few seconds before responding, “I’ve been waiting for this call for three years.” As soon as the call ended, the husband’s and mother-in-law’s phones began ringing simultaneously.

The drunkenness vanished instantly from the man’s face as he read the notifications on his screen. All his bank accounts had been frozen, he’d been suspended from his position as CEO, and his access to all the companies had been revoked. The mother-in-law also paled upon receiving an order to vacate the villa within 24 hours.

“What did you do?” she shouted. “You legally transferred the company to my son!” The woman calmly replied, “I only granted him temporary administrative authority after I gave birth. I never transferred ownership.” The man angrily threw his phone onto the sofa. “You’re a liar! You signed all the documents I gave you!” She looked him straight in the eye. “Yes, I signed your documents. But you never knew that my father secretly left another agreement.”
