Jackson refused to sign. His family rallied, spreading rumors that I was unstable, that I had provoked him, that I was trying to destroy their good name.
I went public in a controlled way. I filed for a restraining order and released a statement through my lawyer. Meanwhile, I froze joint accounts and started proceedings to reclaim every cent they had taken.
Quiet nights in my apartment (I refused to leave it) were spent reviewing financial records. I discovered Jackson had been siphoning money from my accounts into his mother’s name for years.
