CHAPTER 2 – THE NOTE

CHAPTER 2 – THE NOTE
The hospital immediately sealed off Emily's room.
The doctors couldn't understand how she could have survived for nearly two days in a coffin.
It was almost impossible.
Clara stood in the hallway.
Her hand still clutched the piece of paper.
She opened it.
Only one line of text.
"Don't trust the doctor."
Clara's heart pounded.
The doctor?
It was Dr. Harris who had declared Emily dead.
He was also the one who signed the death certificate.
Now...
He was walking towards the room.
Clara immediately hid the paper.
"The patient needs rest."
Dr. Harris smiled.
"If you're a family member, please let us do our work."
Clara nodded.
But didn't leave.
When Harris entered the room...
She quietly peeked through the crack in the door.
He leaned very close to Emily.
Too close.
Not to examine her.
But to whisper.
"If you wake up again..."
"...everyone will die."
Emily's eyes snapped open.
Just then, Clara burst through the door.
Dr. Harris immediately straightened up.
"The patient's heart rate is increasing."
"Please leave."
But Clara saw it.
In the doctor's hand...
May you like
There was a syringe.
Not in the treatment file.
